Guarantee Protection Insurance (GPI)

Newseal Ltd are members of Guarantee Protection Insurance Ltd. We can offer fully insured guarantees against all treatments carried out by the company. An insured guarantee is backed by an insurance certificate and policy specific to your property for a 10 year period, issued by a UK based insurance company which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

GPI itself is a regulated company under the Insurance Mediation Directive 2000.

GPI is completely independent of any manufacturer and assesses potential members for technical competence, correct procedures, financial probity and, most importantly from a customer’s point of view, all members must be adequately trained in all aspects of Health and Safety.

All GPI members can offer the security of insurance to support their guarantees for timber, damp, wall ties and specialist members of the Specialist Structural Waterproofing Group, Specialist Shire Piling and Specialist QuickBase contractors can offer insurance to support their guarantees.

When comparing GPI members with other contractors you must ask yourself who vets those contractors, who determines their technical skills and are they Health and Safety trained and good enough to be acceptable to an insurance company?

"I would just like to comment on the damp test carried out to our home. After contacting you about the proposal made by Mike that the renewal of the plaster inside and out as we thought and pointed out was possibly not the best way to start without checking on the level of dampness here, our thoughts have been proven correct. It is good to see that the test proved to be the best way to start so that no unnecessary waste of your budget was not spent doing work that was not needed. Also the reading taken show we are ventilating and heating our home in the correct manner and perhaps show we do after all, have some knowledge of maintaining property. I would also like to compliment Phil of Newseal on his pleasant manner and interaction on what is involved when taking a damp test."
- Mrs V, Probus – April 2013

"I would like to give my heartfelt thanks to Phil and all the team at Newseal for undertaking the damp proofing building work at my property in March this year, so incredibly well. I have lived anxiously with a damp problem and dry rot for several years, and I was amazed that you and your team rectified the entire problem in the very short span of time I had available, including redecorating and renewing skirting and floorboards. Everything was carried out so efficiently, with great care to attention to neither disturb nor affect my household. I now have a brilliantly renovated and warm home again which is such a pleasure!"
